FINE ART

Paintings

Painting is for me a slow and restful work. Painting a landscape or a still-life gives me a connection with both ancient symbolism and beautiful objects.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Curtines

Taking photographs is for me linked to zest for life and spontaneous ideas. Being able to visualize unexpected moments by freezing them into a picture is a medium that I appreciate highly. However, there has to be a symbolism in the pictures, for example like in the case of curtains, through which you can see both from inside and from outside, to watch or be watched.

Reflections

Reflections, often in the window of a bus or a train, to see what moves or stands still, in front of me or where I am. Often only a few seconds, then the reflection is changed by the movement or the light. These appear to be fascinating moments.

Landscapes

I love landscapes with their various flavours and colours and forms. So many memories from different countries and different experiences. Which should I keep, those that are close or those that are infinite? Barren, warm, wet, with human beings or animals, all are they pictures of what we are living with, from and in.

Painting & Photography

To be able, and allowed, to be playful is vital to me. The technique painting-photography fascinates me and gives me a new opportunity for experimenting. Fascinating because it is an interplay between two working methods that I like, two spontaneous means of expression that merge into one picture. Combining these two techniques, painting and photography, makes my present creating more exciting.
